Build confidence and creativity with our Editing Skills Course designed specifically for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Delivered in a supportive, accessible environment at Sticks & Glass Skills Hub in Leeds, this hands-on course introduces industry-standard editing tools and practical techniques used in film, TV, and digital media.

What you’ll learn

  • Basic to intermediate video editing workflows using approachable software

  • Organising footage, creating timelines, cutting and trimming clips

  • Adding transitions, captions, and simple effects to enhance storytelling

  • Working with audio: levels, basic mixing, and syncing

  • Exporting projects for web, broadcast, or portfolio use

  • Collaborative editing tasks to build communication and teamwork skills

Course features

  • Small class sizes and one-to-one support tailored to individual needs

  • Accessible studio facilities and adaptive equipment where required

  • Flexible pacing and clear, visual learning materials
